Aditya Birla Group, a brand that every Indian has come across at least once in their life, and why not? From building our dream homes to looking dapper at our special occasions, we’ve been in the presence of an ABG product. For me it was fashion, obvious, isn’t it? Now, I’m not the one to care for my looks until it’s professional, then I have to look at my best, and here comes Aditya Birla, with their Van Heusen, a brand commonly known for professionals. The quality and fabric makes me look at my best presentable form and it’s comfortable enough for me to not whine about formals, which I tend to do a lot on some days, though I've got a range of different branded formal shirts, but I always wear Van Heusen for days that matter to me most, from my college interview to my summers interview, to my first and all working days in internship, I wore Van Heusen, and it was comfortable enough for me to forget that I’m wearing formal attire, every day. One thing you get used to when you start your B-School journey is formal attire, and luckily, I’ve had Van Heusen to get me through. Whether shirts or business suits, they’ve been amazingly comfortable and presentable, and a major part of my B-School journey and will continue to be, when I’ll start my corporate journey, and it is important to look professional in the corporate environment, especially when you’re surrounded by senior management personnel who wear nothing but business suits. In the corporate world, people will judge you on how you dress, so it’s important to look at your best, and Aditya Birla Group got you covered on that aspect, with their Allen Solly, Louis Philippe, Van Heusen or any other of their formal attire brands, they got your back. When I look back at my achievements, one that comes up on my mind is the most recent one, and why not, after all, it’s my first corporate memory, from being a fresher with no experience whatsoever to leading an important market research study on my first assignment. First things first, when I got placed for my dream profile, I couldn’t be any happier but that also meant it’s going to be one hell of a roller coaster ride for next 2 months. From long working hours to sleepless nights, the first month was hectic and major credit was to my assignment, though we had a team, I was to lead the research study and even a minor misinformation could affect the whole business model, though my mentor would definitely cross check the data but when you start off fresh in the industry, you want to do your best, as did I. I was new in the corporate environment, was trying my best but did miss out some vital information, we would travel for 3 hours to reach our target vector and start again, with new ideas, new plans, and new executions for those plans, it’s hard enough to do primary research for one time at a place but to repeat it again is harder. So, long story short, that assignment took more than a month to get final approval from the investment team to invest further on the project but eventually, everything we gather was a big help for the company and we received a lot of appreciation and other perks for it, this particular assignment helped me to grow a lot, from being straight out of college fresher to one of the best interns, the journey has been amazing for me, and so did the learnings.
