Mission
Leadership development and nurturing don’t come from just from the rigorous academic schedule, leaders are created in the cauldron of motivation and real-world understanding, it comes from serious behavioural changes in a person and that is a very important part of IIM Trichy culture. IIM Trichy reinforces the behaviours associated with effective leadership, one of the most important parts of IIM Trichy culture is self-reflection and introspection. Daily whether it be the course structure, institute social culture or club activities students are pushed out of their comfort zone to perform at peak performance, this is done to help them push their boundaries of comfort and understanding. They are encouraged to question each problem. The new-found freedom to push themselves makes them realize that they are not just here to get a job but to transform and transcend their previous identities.
Modern leadership is developed by developing strong relationships, the social fabric in the institute is buzzing because we are encouraged to meet more and more people and work with a variety of people from diverse background. The case studies and group projects are centred around peer to peer learning and social interaction. Without meaning in what one does there can be no passion and drive in a person, IIM Trichy instils drive by helping us attach meaning to what one does in the institute. Leaders are not created in a day but it’s a lifelong process and developing oneself is a very important part of this journey. In the institute, we are given the opportunity to join various groups to help our internal development.
At the end of the day, any leader should be good at executing ideas and time management, the hectic coursework, numerous case studies and club activities IIM Trichy tries to inculcate the rigour required to execute and plan ideas. The people involved in the process of producing leaders that will be the faculty leave no stone unturned by having the highest professional standards and most important the passion to help others learn and improve. IIM Trichy has scaled new heights in a very short time and that is because of the high standards maintained inside the institute and this is what makes IIM Trichy stand apart.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
I would want to work for Aditya Birla Capital Limited (ABCL). The reason being that I am very much interested in working for a finance company and ABCL would provide me with opportunities to grow and excel. ABCL has been doing extremely well since its inception, its loan book is diverse and it is going to be one of the most successful scalable company in the future and I would like to be part of this upward wave and contribute.
