Aditya Birla Group (ABG), an Indian Multinational company, had a close association with the Indian Independence movement and its leaders. This helped Birlas to absorb the philosophies of Great Indian Leaders.
The company, who started their journey from a Cotton Mill in early 19’s, had absorbed the spirit of times and has turned into a Conglomerate. The group, run by astute businessmen, has now become massive and strengthens their roots in various industries. The group, founded by an Indian Philanthropist, has contributed a lot to humanity and beings. The company is also leaning towards Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR activities) and focusing areas like Healthcare (by building Hospitals and Medical Camps), Education (by schools and Midday meals offering), Infrastructures (building Community Halls, Playgrounds), facilitating villages by installing solar lamps, raising employment by training people, etc. They are also one of the leading Finance companies in India. I have been investing into one of their schemes which have yielded me a great return on my investments.
The house I live in, the bridges I cross, the electricity I use, the rail I ride, the cloth I wear, the cellular network I use; all these are directly or indirectly product of Birla. I still remember him talking to the contractor about the material to be used for construction which was L&T, presently known as UltraTech cement which shows his trust for the brand. Even today, we can say with pride that he made the right choice.
Aditya Birla Group has played a vital role in making our life comfortable and has helped us to conserve our culture and philosophy even in 21st century. This elucidates how big a brand is ABG and what role it plays in our lives.
TYPE B
Just as at the core of the ABGLP program there are people who drive to make an impact, irrespective of what challenges they face, on a similar note, even I have been facing many challenges in my life which helped me shape in a way that I am much more a sorted and a confident person. And I feel challenges don’t bog you down but make you stronger and stronger to face the realities of life, climb up the success ladder and achieve something big. Even I am on my journey to face challenges and keep on learning from my mistakes and hardships and reach my goal.
I had been believing in the same philosophy until now and had cut through the hurdles to reach where I am today. I would like to quote a few of them which have transformed me into a better person. Since childhood, I have heard the saying that study doesn’t happen in a joint family but throughout my school and college life, with the help of my parents of course, I managed to be among the top percentilers and prove that nothing can stop you when there is will and dedication from within. Secondly, would anyone risk one’s lucrative job to leap a step forward without a guarantee of success? No, right! That’s exactly what I did! I left my well-paid job for something which I actually wanted to do and passed many sleepless nights to reach a good B school from where I wanted to do my MBA. I had to go through many disappointments and low phases during the process and also constant pestering from big mouths as to why I left my job and what will I do next if I don’t get admission into a good B school and so on and so forth. But I was clear with my goal and didn’t stop until I reached my destination. All these and a few more struggles that I have gone through have taught me to fall, stand up again and move on. The reason why I could connect to Aditya Birla Group so much is that it also inspires me on the similar lines to never stop until you achieve the ultimate. So, this was my life so far and I hope to continue to overcome all challenges, starting from the scratch and making it big just like ABG.
