Forbes World's Best Employers 2026: Top 50 Companies To Work For
What makes a company a great place to work?
Forbes, in partnership with Statista, has released the 2026 edition of its World's Best Employers ranking, featuring 900 companies across industries and global markets. Microsoft ranks No. 1, followed by Delta Air Lines and Shopify. The list includes companies from technology, financial services, automotive, aerospace, consumer goods, healthcare, travel and several other sectors.
For MBA students and professionals, the ranking provides a snapshot of how employees and professionals perceive major global employers. However, an employer's position on the list is only one data point when evaluating a company. Factors such as compensation, career progression, role, location, function and work environment can also vary significantly across companies and business units.
What is the Forbes World's Best Employers ranking?
The Forbes World's Best Employers 2026 ranking is the latest edition of the annual global employer ranking created by Forbes and Statista.
The 2026 list recognises 900 companies, selected from thousands of companies evaluated globally. The research covers more than 300,000 employees across 50+ countries, with more than 5 million employer evaluations. The companies featured span 25 industries and 52 countries, making the ranking a broad look at employer perception across global markets.
The ranking focuses on how employees and professionals perceive companies rather than simply measuring factors such as company size, revenue or market value.
How were the World's Best Employers selected?
Forbes and Statista used an independent global employee survey that combines direct and indirect evaluations of employers.
For direct feedback, employees evaluated their own employers and indicated how likely they would be to recommend their company to friends or family. Respondents rated their employers on a 0–10 scale, with higher scores representing a greater willingness to recommend the company.
The survey also collected indirect feedback. Participants were asked to evaluate other employers within their professional field and could indicate whether they would recommend or advise against working for those companies. This allows the ranking to incorporate perceptions from both employees of a company and professionals familiar with its industry.
The ranking uses survey data collected over a three-year period, with more recent evaluations receiving greater weight. Statista also independently checks survey responses for quality and validity and researches company information to verify eligibility for the ranking.
