There comes a point in time where every human being faces a challenge that shapes his/her personality and they get to understand their strengths and weaknesses. It becomes a learning point for them to understand as to how they should or should have handled such trying situations and challenges.

I faced a similar challenge in my life during my second year of college. My father had been diagnosed with Oral Cancer in late October 2017. It was a very tough time for our family and for me personally because I had my 2nd year final exams and CAT 2017 during the same period. My father had to undergo operation and surgery in the month of November 2017. My mother was wasn’t in her correct state of mind and I, being the eldest son had to look after my family. By God’s Grace, my father has now fully recovered from the illness. This incident brought a lot of changes in my life and taught me how to be responsible. These times really gave me a huge shock, but they also taught me how to be prepared for anything and everything in life. It taught me how to be tough when everything around you is not in your favour. My perception about people suffering from such illness changed. I now look at things differently and thank God for everything that He’s given us, and I now am content with what I get.

I would like to tell everyone out there that there are some things and circumstances that you can’t change in life or you wish never would have happened but, you should not lose hope. You should always try to face any challenge that life throws at you.
