When did you start preparing for the GD-PI-WAT Process? How much time did you dedicate (daily and overall)?
After taking my XAT exam, I gave some time daily for my preparation of GD-PI-WAT. I was expecting only two calls, XLRI and IIFT, so I was majorly preparing for the PI process. I used to allocate atleast 2 hours daily for the process.
What kinds of resources did you use during your preparation?
For current affairs, I watched YouTube videos of Hindu Analysis by Byju's IAS and any news that was pointed out during my mock interviews.
For interview preparation, I took coaching from Patrick Sir, and one session each from Moinack and Diffr (XLRI alumni).

Did you prepare through self-study or coaching? What was your reasoning for the decision?
I prepared through coaching. Major reason was experience. I took coaching from Patrick Sir, and one session each from Moinack and Diffr (XLRI alumni). They gave me direction on what questions can be asked and how to answer them. There were some situations which were unique to me, they helped me navigate through those situations too. I also feel taking coaching adds consistency in your practice and inculcates some self-discipline in you.
What were the biggest challenges you faced during your preparation for the GD-PI-WAT process?
My biggest challenge was that I was not able to handle tricky questions well. Even during some stress interviews, I was unable to handle the situation well but it gradually improved with practice. Also, while preparing for current affairs, I realised that the content was too much to prepare so I focused myself on the major issues in the world.
