IIM Bangalore has wrapped up its Summer Placement Process for the PGP and PGP-BA Class of 2025-27 - and the numbers this year are bigger than ever. All 601 students, the largest batch across all IIMs, secured internship offers from 137 recruiters during the placement week held from October 13–18, 2025.
The process saw a surge in consulting, finance, healthcare, and product roles, alongside a remarkable 30% participation from first-time recruiters - reaffirming IIM Bangalore’s strong industry trust and talent brand.

Key Highlights - Summer Placements 2026 (PGP & PGP-BA)
🔹 606 Students Placed | 137 Companies | 100% Placement
IIMB completed placements in under a week, with top global recruiters making large-scale hires across domains.
🔹 Consulting Dominates With a Record 46% Offers
Consulting continued its streak as the most preferred domain, rising sharply from 38% last year to 46% this year.
Accenture Strategy alone made 132 offers, the highest from any single recruiter.
🔹 Healthcare Hiring Booms - 70% Increase
Healthcare companies made 23 offers, marking one of the largest jumps in sectoral hiring this year.
🔹 IB, E-com & Product Roles Rise
Investment Banking, E-commerce, and Product Management all saw improved numbers, signalling strong corporate demand even in a mixed economic environment.
🔹 30% New Recruiters Join
Nearly one-third of the recruiters were new to the IIMB campus, reflecting the institute’s growing corporate footprint.

Prof. Nishant Kumar Verma, Chairperson, Career Development Services (CDS), said the process ran with “remarkable efficiency and professionalism”, praising both the Placement Committee and the trust placed by recruiters.
Mr. Tapas Ranjan Pati, Head of CDS, highlighted strong feedback from global recruiters and called out the “record number of offers by Accenture Strategy”.
The 11-member student Placement Committee emphasised that this year’s results underline IIMB’s solid industry standing and the confidence recruiters place in its talent.
