Panel 4 - Slot 2 ( 2 male professors) :
1) So your father is an engineer and your mother is a doctor, right? Tell us about your maternal and paternal grandparents. What was their occupation?
(Answered - My maternal great grandfather was a schoolmaster in rural Konkan and there is a book about him so I mentioned that as well)
2) Did he inspire anyone in your family, someone from the new generation who is pursuing teaching as a profession?
(No Sir, not anyone that I know of. Told them about my family drifting apart and loss of contact with 6 of the 9 siblings my grandma had)
3) What can you infer from this?
(Answered - 2 observations)
4) Tell us something about yourself?
5) Why Microbiology?
(Answered) I asked if they want to know the reason why I would like to pursue an MBA after microbiology, but P1 said we know you have a compelling reason for that.....so we don't want to know.
6) How Pfizer vaccine is different from traditional ones? (Explain to the layman). (Answered)
7) Health workers were vaccinated but a few died. So what should have been the protocol?
(I tried to answer that but P1 said there was a communication gap and so moved on to the next question).
8) Rajkot's doctor got infected even after vaccination. What can be the reason?
(Answered).
9) Why IIM C ? Mentioned the following points - ~ Bird sanctuary
(P1 joked that there are no birds now, you will understand when you come to campus). ~ NIRF 44 ~ Student culture, mentor help, faculty encourages to pursue extracurricular. ~ Inspired by alumni- Preethi Sukumaran : (Biology)
(P1 said he will tell her that a candidate mentioned her name in the interview)
Anand Kripalu - Cadbury (Shubh Arambh ad) and United Spirits (P2 asked me about United Spirits).
I also mentioned Hina Nagarajan being named the next CEO.
(P1 said she is an amazing lady).
Being a biology student, I mentioned how IIM C with its expertise in maths and finance can help me understand those aspects and fill the gap.
