Which Consulting Firms Are Alumni of Top B-Schools Working At? - InsideIIM Alumni Report 2020

SPJIMR alums working in Deloitte is shown as 3. Seriously? Deloitte (USI, India and SEA combined) recruited more than 20 students only from the 2017-19 batch of SPJIMR. And your data of all alums from all batches from SPJIMR working at Deloitte shows the number as 3. A simple LinkedIn search with appropriate filters shows tons of names. Report with errors. Request you to please take this down and publish a new report with corrected statistics.

This platform has surely been promoting it's hypocrisy for quite sometime now. Once they tried comparing JBIMS and IIM Shillong, only God knows how competent their researchers are? Earlier they used to publish quality content, but now it's loosing quality for sure.

Hi. Thank you for raising this concern. The data gathered is for the field Management Consulting only, and the data obtained via LinkedIn has been added to the tables in the report. We understand the limitations of this report and have mentioned the same at the end of this article. Our team will definitely attempt to improve accuracy of data obtained for future versions of reports in the Alumni Report series.

I personally know atleast 10 JBIMS alums who are currently working with PwC and the numbers for Accenture are surely more than what you suggest they are. I would request you to kindly get your facts right before you post something like this in public domain. It is expected that a reputed platform like InsideIIM should be more responsible while publishing such reports.

The only concern I have is that many people enter B schools to make it big in their careers, such incorrect reports might help InsideIIM sensationalize it's articles but would surely hurt an institute's reputation creating issues for the students in finding their preferred jobs. Moreover, it is not correct to publish reports based just on LinkedIn search results (There might be a lot of technicalities which give you a chance to absolve yourself of your reporting errors). It is morally advisable to mention the limitations of your report at the beginning and not at the end of the report. I would request you to take such a sensational but factually incorrect report down from your platform as it will not only misguide people, but will also hurt your reputation and credibility as well. I suggest you to come up with a detailed and factually correct report which would have information not only about the number of alums that a B school has in the Management Consulting firm, but also must put some light on the roles/positions that such alums are working in as the roles offered at each institute vary a great deal. Such report would surely be appreciated.
