About HUSH
Hush – Make Work Awesome is a platform for the employees to help each other, exchange information and grow together. It provides the employers with a secure, private and anonymous discussion forum to voice their raw and real opinion without any fear of retribution.
Hush is backed by Accel and is a community of employees. They don’t have any tie-ups with employers and rest ensured, the content on the website is authentic with no interference from the employers.
Currently, it provides a discussion forum for the employees to talk regarding day to day workplace matters, culture, career advice from peers in the industry and from a network of experts. It also provides job listings from renowned companies, salary based information or someone who would listen about their experiences, hopes and fears
Hush is an app for your workplace. It wants to facilitate open conversations between professionals in the same company or with others in the industry. The idea is to create a place where relevant topics can be discussed without any fear of retribution. It is also a tool for the executive team to get a pulse of their employees on a daily basis and not wait for a quarterly/half-yearly survey. Unlike the typical employee surveys here the questions/discussions are initiated by employees so be prepared to see some uncomfortable questions and responses.
My role as a Product Management Intern
Analyzing the user's interest and to come up with ideas to enhance customer retention
In the course of my internship, I also learnt to use tools Mixpanel. Mixpanel is primarily used for business analytics. It tracks user interactions with web and mobile applications and provides tools for targeted communication with them. Its toolset contains in-app A/B tests and user survey forms. Data collected is used to build custom reports and measure user engagement and retention. The analysis thus drawn using Mixpanel helped in performing behavioural analysis on the users of the app. The information so obtained was used to further develop on the ideas for growth and engagement on the app as well as the website.
To conduct surveys for user data enhancement
Extensive research was carried out to collect authentic data of employees benefits and experience in various MNCs and IT companies. In order to carry out this research, our methodology involved in sending several forms to the trusted sources of these companies. These forms were related to various topics such as their wages and benefits, interview experiences, people and daily routine, etc.
Product promotion Campaigns
I was also a part of the marketing campaign for product promotion. My work basically involved carrying out extensive market research and identifying potential locations where we can distribute printed disposable teacups for product promotion which was successfully executed.
During the course of my internship, I also learnt to use Jira. Jira Software is an agile project management tool that supports any agile methodology, be it scrum, kanban, or your own unique flavour. From agile boards to reports, you can plan, track, and manage all your agile software development projects from a single tool.
During my Internship, I have acquired a variety of skills and traits such as team spirit, good work ethics, and time management skills. I learnt that these traits have to also be applied at the office in order to complete tasks on time and to work well with my colleagues. The employees were very invested in me and wanted all of us to get the best experience possible and to not to do much busywork. Overall, my internship experience has been an extremely enriching and rewarding one. I am thankful for this opportunity to gain valuable working experience, while still being able to train and compete.
