Just below the brilliant sky, on the hilltop, surrounded with beautiful plants and trees is my MBA college campus: SYMBIOSIS INSTITUTE OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT, PUNE. A premier business school of India with the vision of ‘Promoting international understanding through quality education’ and the mission ‘to inculcate the spirit of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'(the world is one family)’, SIBM provides its students with a splendid infrastructure that includes a state-of-the-art library, Bloomberg terminals, IT lab, basketball court, football ground….and the list goes on.
Apart from these extensive facilities, SIBM also focuses on holistic development of the students even before they join the college by conducting competitions and organizing an amazing induction program of 10 days that includes ice-breaking sessions, talent rounds and outbound program. In order to produce thought provoking leaders for the society, SIBM has established itself as a student-driven institution by creating council teams such as the Placement Advisory Team, Corporate Interface Team, Co-Curricular Team, Alumni Team, etc. The councils are responsible and accountable for all the activities that are to be conducted on the campus throughout the year. This encourages the MBA students to participate in decision making process that shapes their future as well as that of the institute. Needless to say, all these factors make my campus unique in the country.
WHICH ABG COMPANY WOULD I WANT TO WORK FOR AND WHY
As an MBA student with a specialization in Finance, I would like to work for Aditya Birla Capital Limited (ABCL), a leading company in the BFSI sector that serves millions of Indians in more than 400 cities through 1,300+ points of presence. If given an opportunity to work at ABCL, I believe I will be able to hone up my skills and establish a successful career in the financial sector as the company promises to provide their employees with experience and in-depth understanding of various products/businesses that comprise Aditya Birla Capital through consistent learning, development and growth.
