Symbiosis as the name suggests is a place for symbiotic relationships between cultures to thrive. Our founder, Dr.S.B Mujumdar had, very early in his life, thought of creating a place where students from diverse cultures and creeds could come and gain knowledge in any field they wanted to excel in. Symbiosis Institute of Business Management is a place where a student comes for an all-round development and these two years of his life change his personality completely only for good. We all know SIBM follows a student driven culture which means that the Student Councils here play a major part in the management and execution of all the major events that happen. We have our own Aspirant Relations Team which cater to all the queries of all the aspirants all over India and ensure that the aspirants stay motivated to join SIBM. The Corporate Interface Team gives the students a chance to interact with the corporates and organise their events with full swing. They get a hands on experience before joining the corporates and thus gives them an added advantage to step into the corporate culture full prepared.
The place, Lavale, has a bountiful scenic beauty. Along with a great curriculum, students here get to experience nature at their doorstep. We see clouds floating inside our classrooms. The weather here is conducive for people with literary skills to give their work a direction and stay motivated to pen down their beautiful thoughts and come out with an amazing piece of work. We get to witness variety of flora and fauna ranging from a simple fly to a huge reptile, right in front of us. SIBM unlike other premier B-schools does not follow a rigorous academic structure and allows the student to explore himself/herself and get involved in all the extra-curricular activities, as today the world demands an all-rounder, a manager and not a nerd and what best way is there to learn management skills when you get to interact with people of diverse backgrounds and all of them working towards a common goal. SIBM has a strong women workforce starting from the vice chancellor to faculty members. SIBM truly believes in the equality of gender and promotes women to actively participate in all the tasks without differentiating on the bases of gender. The female students here are equally allowed to have as much fun and frolic as the male students. This helps a lot in the development of strong women leaders in the years to come. SIBM allows students to fulfil their dreams by providing a special course of Innovation and Entrepreneurship which is a full two year course teaching them the nuances of how a business in its baby stage has to be nurtured so that it grows with strong roots and achieves great heights. It also provides an incubation centre to a relatively good idea that would help the society at large. SIBM does its bit in saving the environment along with doing something good for the less fortunate ones as it is tied up with a lot many Non-Governmental Organisations which let students from SIBM help them out with whatever help they need, in cash or kind. We also have a separate student council, SECC, Social Entrepreneurship and Consulting Cell which all in all manages this very aspect of the college.
These very trivial things that other colleges tend to look over but, SIBM invests its legacy in it and this is what makes it unique from all the other premier B-schools in the country. And last but not the least, my presence at SIBM makes it stand apart in its own way.

I would like to join Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited as it provides the employees to grow both professionally and personally. The work culture at ABFRL is customer oriented and strong in ethics. Furthermore, the fact that ABFRL continuously invests in the learning and development of its employees, besides organizing a host of engagement activities makes it a great place to work. Coming from a student driven college and a council member myself I will be able to justify the work culture at ABFRL which is also known for its flexibility in letting the employee take the lead. Being highly optimistic and disciplined in my conduct, I am sure I will be able to contribute ABFRL to attain more heights.
