Loop is helping solve the foundational reason of why we have waste i.e. single-use and non-disposable. Loop is a platform built with an idea to eliminate waste by replacing single-use packaging to multi-use durable packaging. It has changed the ownership of packaging from consumers to producers.

World’s largest consumer goods companies are collaborating on this new venture - Loop. Eight out of ten companies in the Greenpeace report of worst plastic polluters are now Loop partners. This company offers reusable packaging to products ranging from Tide, Pantene to Häagen-Dazs ice cream, all in one. The same container can be used up to almost a hundred uses.
Loop brings back the old milkman model where goods are delivered and at the same time empties are picked, washed, refilled and restocked. It is the 21st-century milkman who has come to save the world from single-use plastic. When the packages have been reused enough number of times, it is then recycled by TerraCycle. The packages used by Loop are made of materials like aluminium, stainless steel, glass and engineered plastic which is stronger than the existing disposable plastic.
Future Scope:
The company is looking forward to opening up of retail stores so that consumers can get the empties back in a QR embedded container provided by Loop. In the future, the company wants to bring in products like baby toys and baby clothing, what they collectively call as disposable products. It will compel consumers to act, to think and to buy differently.
