Faculty Management Studies is known as the Red Building of Dreams, Marketing Campus of the country. It was unique in each and every component. From the interview round, only college to have an Extempore in the selection process, to the campus life. It is about the experience that makes us unique. It was the first campus in India which offered a formal MBA degree. When you hear the name B-school, you can get all the highly sophisticated infrastructure, wide college grounds, and mega libraries. But we are different, we don’t have all those things, but we are too good in managing the resources we have. In spite of lacking resources, we are strong enough to compete all the other B-schools in terms of knowledge.  The strong alumni base is another thing which makes our campus unique.

A memorable class room experience in B-school?

Fiesta is the cultural society of our college. As a part of the talent hunt, Fiesta floated a competition regarding dance, singing and acting. We need to perform in the class. I participated in expressionless dance and in singing. As a part of the rehearsal, we were given a room. We were a team of 8 people. This was the first time for me to give a stage performance in dance. All the steps in that dance were so funny and it was intended to make the audience laugh. The rehearsals, my performance and the response that came from the audience, all these make this the most memorable classroom experience in B-school.

Some of my crazy batch mates:

  1. Ravi Shankar Kasani: He has completed graduation from JNTU Hyderabad in Electronics and communication engineering. An interesting aspect of his profile was his interest in writing. He was a great writer; he has a passion in writing stories for movies. Already he wrote some plays during his graduation and in the early stages of his academic career.
  2. Kalyan Dangeti: What makes his profile crazy from others is the interest in directing films. As we know engineers are good at multi tasking, he is not an exception. He was an Electronics and Communications engineer from GMR IT. After that, he worked as a Probitionary Officer in SBI, and now pursuing MBA.
  3. Praneeth Rao: He was an engineer from Delhi. Graduated from Delhi College of Engineering. Later on he worked as a consultant in Bain Capability centre for a period of 18 months. Now he was preparing for Civil service examinations while studying MBA.
  4. Swati J: Generally all the students pursue undergraduation from India and later on go foreign countries for higher studies. But she has done in a different way. She completed her UG course from University of Queensland, Australia. Now she was pursuing her higher studies in Delhi, India.

Company I want to work in Aditya Birla Group:

I want to work in the Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail limited. Products were Ready-to-Wear Western and Ethnic Apparel for Men, Women & Kids, Footwear and Accessories. Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Peter England, People, Pantaloons, Hackett London, Forever 21, Simon Carter, Ted Baker, American Eagle Outfitters, The Collective, Planet Fashion, all the well-known brands were under this single Umbrella. What makes this unique is updating its fashion regarding the changing tastes. Even in this age of E-commerce the Aditya Birla’s Fashion and Retail wing was giving heavy competition and no one can compete with them in the offline category. They were well known for their brand quality and durability which makes them unique.
