SIBM Pune recorded record-breaking numbers in the final placements process for the MBA batch of 2020-2022. This year, SIBM Pune witnessed a massive 50% jump in the highest salary offered to the MBA batch, a figure which stood at INR 45.50 lakhs. The average and median salary also increased by 18% and 16% respectively.
The average of the top 50 offers increased by 21% and stood at approx. INR 33 lakhs, while the average of the top 150 offers stood at approx. INR 25.5 lakhs.
Consulting Emerges As Most Sought-After Sector For SIBM Pune's MBA Batch of 2022
In the final placements process for the MBA batch of 2022, SIBM Pune students flocked towards Consulting jobs, with 30% of the batch opting for roles in this sector. This was completely opposite to what was seen last year, where Consulting was one of the least preferred sectors for the MBA batch of 2021.
The Consumer Goods/Durables sector continued to remain in favor for SIBM Pune students, with 16% of the batch opting for roles in this sector - down from 23% last year.
