Stellar Summer Placements At SCMHRD

Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD) has witnessed a phenomenal growth in various aspects by establishing its name in the league of top B-schools in India in just 26 years since its inauguration. A premier management institute with a vision to produce leaders and change agents, SCMHRD has been constantly pushing boundaries in the sphere of management education.

For the 2019 Summer Placement, SCMHRD has again proved its mettle and experienced a remarkable placement season with the participation of both, eminent legacy recruiters and first-time recruiting partners. More than 65 companies participated in the summer placement week. The highest stipend offered this season was 3.2 lakhs while 34% of the batch received offers above 2 lakhs. The students were offered internships in diverse sectors including FMCG/FMCD, Consulting, Manufacturing and Engineering, Healthcare/Pharmaceutical, BFSI, Technology, IT/ ITES, E-commerce and Logistics. Out of the total batch strength, 27% was placed in the FMCG/FMCD sector. The average stipend this year was 1.62 lakhs while the median stipend was 1.50 lakhs for MBA Core.

The niche courses offered at SCMHRD have also performed exceptionally well this year. MBA Business Analytics has recorded a highest stipend of 2.5 lakhs with average and median of 0.97 lakhs and 0.80 lakhs respectively while the MBA Infrastructure Development and Management course witnessed 1.30 lakhs as the highest stipend along with 0.80 lakhs and 0.73 lakhs as the median and average respectively (All figures are for 2 months duration).

SCMHRD, known for its diversity in batch always proves to bridge the gap between employers and students. This year also, it had a uniform distribution in batch between freshers and people with work experience ranging from a few months to more than 3 years.

The institute hosted several new recruiters like Diageo, Sony Pictures Networks India, Ninjacart, Udaan, UPL, Nomura, ICICI bank, AON Consulting and many others. Their legacy recruiters HSBC, Philips India, JP Morgan & Chase, Colgate-Palmolive, Deloitte, EY, Godrej Group, HUL, ITC, L’Oreal, Reliance Industries and many others continued to show faith in the talent at SCMHRD.
