IIM Trichy successfully completes summer placements with 71% increase in highest stipend.
The Summer Placement process of PGP 2015-17 (Post Graduate Programme in Management) batch of IIM Trichy has been successfully completed with record breaking figures. Enthusiastic participation shown by the industry demonstrates their faith in the capabilities of the students of IIM Trichy. Total of 102 students who participated in the process and all of them have received coveted offers. In addition, IIM Trichy has gone international, through internship opportunities in Europe and the Middle East.
This year 51 companies visited the campus for summer placements (compared to 45 companies last year), offering roles across various sectors such as BFSI, Consulting, FMCG, IT/ITES, Manufacturing, E-commerce, Media and Advertising, NGO among others. There were diverse roles offered in exciting profiles such as Strategy, BFSI, Consulting & Analytics, Sales & Marketing, Operations, HR and IT/ITeS. Some niche roles catering to the students’ interests were also offered in Product Development, Operations and Strategic Transaction Group - Investment Banking.
Prominent names that participated in the summer internship process this year were World Bank, Dabur, HSBC, OgilvyOne, Deloitte, Mahindra, IOSCO, Kelloggs, Cognizant Business Consulting, ICICI Bank, Saint-Gobain Glass, TAFE, Robert Bosch, L&T, FCB Ulka, Sulekha, YES Bank, Fidelity, Flex, RBS, TVS Motors, L&T, NCDEX, RBL, Shoppers Stop, Bajaj Allianz, Singhi Advisors, Last Mile Consultants, Ram-Nath & Co., Integra Software Services Pvt. Ltd., Novonous.
The highest international stipend offered for the internship period is INR 2.4 lakhs while the highest domestic stipend is INR 1.6 lakhs. The overall highest stipend recorded an increase of 71.4% this year as compared to previous year. The average stipend is INR 51,000 which is a marked increase (of 13.3%) over the previous year.

This year has been particularly exciting for summer placements with international placements and increased diversity of profiles offered, showing enthusiastic participation from various spheres of the industry. For five years now, IIM Trichy has been providing talented and persevering individuals of high caliber for corporates and academia alike. The industry has thus continued to place its confidence in the students of IIM Trichy.
