This is the person who knows everything – from Management Accounting (MANAC, toughest finance subject in first year) to writing globe in Marketing/ HR subjects. You will find him partying till late in the night and then doing exceptionally well in the quiz the next day. Omniscient you may call him as there’s no task in which you can defeat him.
- Loki – The Deceiver
The person whom you cannot trust, whatsoever.
He sounds capricious, he’s either playfully mischievous or downright evil. You can never tell why he does, what he does. From lying about studying for the quiz to giving you erratic advice; he is the one who only works for his own personal gain. He is the one who agrees to everything in front of you without vouching for his opinion on right/wrong, but behind your back he’s his true self.
- Iron man – No work, only fun kind of guy
The one person whom you’ll find at all the parties, even to the ones he’s not invited to, is him. He may or may not have a clue about why he’s here doing MBA, but he knows a jugaad for every issue you have. Make him a part of your project team and you’ll find yourself doing his part of the work as well. He is an excellent company to be with but not in terms of work.
- Hawkeye – A man of few words
If you ever see him talking for more than a minute you’re very lucky. He is the guy who reserves his comments for himself. His existence is barely noticeable; you may ask him ten questions but he answers to all of them with a single word. But don’t mistake him for someone who’s dumb; he might be one of the smartest guys of the class, who thinks that the world can do perfectly well with one less opinion.
- Batman – the wisest of the herd
He is the guy whom you can vouch for at any moment in your entire tenure at b-school. If you need advice on the committee/ club dilemma he is the guy with the unbiased view, if you wish to seek advice on electives he is the first person to contact to. He is admirable, inspirational and his intelligence makes him the greatest of all. He won’t demand attention from you; you’ll automatically listen to him out of respect.
So here are some of the people whom you will meet in your MBA journey. You may be friends with them; you may be one of them. Each person has his/her set of positives/ negatives which you need to figure out for a jovial, memorable time.
Thank me later.
