The bird knows now that it got wings to fly high!!
As I boarded the train to Nagpur, a feeling of solace and discomfort started pounding my head and heart. I was desperately trying not to get emotional seeing the Indian Railways board displaying ALLAHABAD getting further away from me. I didn’t exactly know whether it was the pre-MBA feeling that was scaring me or the unexplored city NAGPUR trying to make me apprehensive.
But then here I was staring at the Admin building of IIM Nagpur, collecting all my courage and vigour to start the rhapsodic journey of MBA. As I had 3.5 years of work experience so I assumed that the sudden change that I am going to incorporate in my life would not be that hard. But here again, as it is said that life is full of surprises, the bull was caught right by its horn. I was accustomed to simple and routine daily life procedures, but here each and every day carries a bag full of surprises. And don’t you underestimate the word surprise here because surprises in an IIM have a meaning different altogether.
Since last month, I have been searching for a passage of time which would allow me to catch a breath and stand at one place to admire the essence of joining the MBA program but IIM Nagpur has got its own way of make people breathless. It’s really astonishing to see how beautifully the aura complements the serenity of the campus and how this combination is supplemented by the enthusiasm of people over here. Most of the times I wonder that these people were meant for MBA right from the starting. With each passing day, their talents and versatilities push me even harder to widen the horizon of my thoughts and capabilities.
Each and every individual that I meet over here be it faculty, seniors or my peers carry a standalone uniqueness. This enriching ambience motivates an introvert like me to try out the things I never even bothered to try in my life. Sometimes I admire them, sometimes I envy them and sometimes I just sit and praise myself for making this wonderful choice.
As, its been only a month since I embarked the journey and IIM Nagpur never fails to amaze me, so I am just trying to know better about the strength of my wings because I know that the journey is long and the bird has to fly high.
