The business is spread across 35 companies providing employment to 12000 employees from 42 different Countries. With over seven decades of responsible business practices, businesses have grown into global powerhouses in a wide range of sectors – metals, textiles, carbon black, telecom and cement.
Way before I came to this land, Aditya Birla Group was there in my home easing out our lifestyle. My father is into textile industries, the main business comprises of dying and printing of raw fabric and exporting to different countries to spread the culture of India. Can you guess where the fibre came from? Well! I don’t know what you just guessed, but its Grasim Industries Limited! The largest exporter of Viscose Rayon Fibre in the country. Now, since every penny which comes in the home is dependent on this source of income, I believe it is quite evident the importance of ABG in my life. Isn’t it?
I feel and acknowledge Aditya Birla Group improving my life experience, be it the foil (Freshwrap) which kept our food hot in Tiffin or be it the sense of feeling secure inside the walls (Ultratech Cement) of my home. Not only it brought us closer by removing all the distance barriers through its effective communication technology (Idea) but also made me more fashionable which my wardrobe conveys very clearly (Louis Philippe, Allen Solly). Aditya Birla Group quality products have engraved itself into my life such deeply that it will become difficult to maintain the current standard of living. These products are sometimes noticeable and sometimes they go unnoticed but it never fails to make our lives better and better. CSR initiatives by ABG in Healthcare, Education, Infrastructure and its endeavour in making model villages is indeed making our society a better place to live in. I would be honored to work for such a conglomerate that believes in “Taking India to the world” and making it #BigInYourLife.
It takes a lot of hard work and patience to grow towards such big goals. I believe these are the qualities we all should try and inherent in our lifestyle. My parents have always taught me that small beginnings can easily lead to the pinnacle with honesty, hard work and commitment. It was 2017 and I worked hard and was determined to clear CAT2017 and to get into top Business-schools. But the results were shocking as I scored very low percentile and wasn’t able to get a single call. I felt depressed and was demotivated to start all over again.
Not giving up and working hard was something my parents have always taught me. And with all the dedication and determination I started studying much harder with at most sincerity. As a result, I wasn’t just able to score 98.8 percentile in CAT but also performed well at the job. This shows that even though how bad challenges you are facing in your life, but when you willingly decide to overcome and ready to work hard with honesty and sincerity you can overcome every challenge and reach new heights in your career.
