Many people accuse businesses as selfish and self-centered initiative to make profit irrespective of the consequences but ABG believes in giving back to society of what it gets from people and their trust. How did i overcome challenges to achieve my ambitions?
Sometimes people have to break societal rules to know what is beyond the realm of human aspirations. I have faced many challenges in life, but learned that if we worked only for that dream without losing focus, we can achieve anything.
To overcome challenges one should be prepared in what he wants to do. Despite my family inclination towards academia as most of my family members are doctors, I was reluctant to ask to learn Hockey as I was selected in Hockey team in my first trial. I joined summer extra classes, when most dream of celebrating summer holiday, just to join hockey training and I managed to do both and became captain of my school hockey team. Despite having congenital High Myopia, I was able to do exceptionally well in Hockey. At the same time I was pretty decent with my studies throughout.
My interest grew in fitness overtime and I was able to reduce my weight by 20 kgs in just three months, which is dangerous and risky. But because of that I was able to reach at the uber level of fitness and stamina which eventually prompted me to start training in HIIT.
The element of grit is necessary, that is one should not accept defeat at any cost. There is a Japanese saying that if you fall 500 times, try 501th time. The tenacity and perseverance required to achieve comes from the attitude and autodidact nature of the person. This helped me work hard and also helped me reach IIM Trichy. Furthermore my ability to take risks prompts me to start my own venture and I am confident enough to say that it will be huge success.
As I was working while preparing for MBA, I even worked overtime toward a startup that is an educational institute with other cofounders just to learn what goes into building a business. We exploited the big void in some of the places regarding education infrastructure. Initially there were struggles regarding money and time but with the support of the family and other cofounders we were able to make it big. We managed it from our savings and took loan and an idea of collaborating with big institutions and their advice helped us stand our business on its foot.
