Life has truly come full circle—from dreaming of IIT during my engineering days to finally making it to VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur. This journey has been full of ups and downs, doubts and decisions, pain and patience—but above all, it’s been a journey of not giving up.

From scoring 85th percentile in CAT 2022 to 60 in CAT 2023, and finally 94.34 in CAT 2024, I have seen the worst of self-doubt, questioned my own worth and decisions more times than I can count. But I also learned the power of resilience, the strength of starting over, and the value of trusting your own pace.

In 2022, I still remember skipping college placements, driven by my determination to crack CAT'22 and get into a good B-school, and after getting 85 percentile, I was disappointed but still hopeful. I took an off-campus job and decided to try again. But when I scored just 60 percentile in 2023, it broke me completely, shook my confidence, blurred my vision, and left me completely lost. I questioned everything—my job, my dream, and even my decision to pursue an MBA. I felt lost and worthless, and I nearly gave up.  But somewhere within, a voice reminded me of what I had once dreamed. I couldn’t disappoint my younger self, and how proud she would be if I kept going. So, against all advice and facing heavy criticism, I quit my full-time job in July 2024, just five months before CAT. My brother and Prahlad stood beside me and said, “Do what feels right—we’re with you.”

With their support and God's blessings, I gave CAT one last shot. I scored a  96.34 percentile overall, but my VARC score was low. I broke down again, believing it was over, that my dreams had slipped away once more. I ran to the temple, as I always did at my lowest, crying and asking,g “Why me, again?”

But sitting there in silence, I found strength. I reminded myself—some B-schools evaluate candidates holistically, not just on sectional cutoffs. I went back home with renewed hope, researched the colleges and applied to every college where I had a chance.

And that’s when the doors started opening, and today I'm happy to share that I will be joining the VGSoM IIT Kharagpur to pursue my MBA.

Grateful to the four pillars of my life—my Brother Ashitosh, my Parents, my Prahlad, and my Bhagwaanji—for holding me through every high and low. A heartfelt thanks to my baccha party for bringing smiles in the toughest times, and to Rodha Coaching Institute, Ravi Prakash Sir, and btribe for guiding me throughout.

My journey has not been a linear one—far from it. It’s been a series of downfalls and comebacks. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: When life blocks your path, don’t abandon your destination—just find another way to reach it because there’s always another way if your will is strong.

I’m proud, grateful, and excited to begin this new chapter at VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur, the place I always dreamt of as an engineer.

From here on, no looking back—only moving forward with faith, hope, and courage क्योंकि कहते हैं ना, भगवान अपनी सबसे कठिन लड़ाइयाँ अपने सबसे पसंदीदा और सबसे मजबूत बच्चों को ही देता है?.
