Aditya Birla Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate, a highly versatile brand that has its interests in viscose staple fibre, metals, cement (largest in India), payment bank, branded apparel, textile, carbon black, chemicals, fertilisers, insulators, financial services, telecom, BPO and IT services.

The way Aditya Birla has changed my way of life is through their business of cellular network, Idea. We all now know the importance of internet in the present age. It is almost impossible to imagine a world without the internet. The simplest activities such as communication and entertainment rely heavily on the internet. The internet, based on its definition, connects different computers and users. Today, the internet does more than just connecting computers. The internet connects people, lives, stories, and businesses. It is a source of information, a social platform, and a business network. The internet has diverse uses depending on the needs of an individual or the setting. Regardless of the purpose, the importance of the internet in our daily lives is unquestionable.

Finishing my college and entering the work life is exciting and scary for any fresher. Having the support of that one network that you rely on for learning, house hunt, ticket booking etc was one factor of relief for me in this new town. Internet has helped me a lot in this new town where I was living alone for the first town. If this was 30 years ago, when internet is not as popular as it is now, I probably would not have made it as flawlessly as the high speed 4G network helped me do.

How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far

Leaving the student life and working in a firm somehow didn’t feel like my ‘happily ever after’. I felt the need to study further and reach bigger heights. I wanted to improve myself holistically and figured MBA was a way to do that. So, I took it upon myself to prepare for MBA while working in my first firm.
Since my job took all my weekdays, I had only weekends for preparations. I used that time to enrol myself in a coaching institute and get the help of experts to get me through the series of entrance tests. The classes were held at the coaching centre which was at distance of about 10 Kms from my place of residence and commenced very early in the morning on the weekends. I would commute through bus every day to and fro to get there. When all my friends and colleagues would go on trips on the weekends to relieve the stress of a hectic work week, I would catch the bus to go to my centre. Though the peer pressure was difficult to handle, I made it through and, have it say, it was all worth it.
