First of all, it is an honour to take part in ABGLP Woo Me || Season 2. I shall share how I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far.
The challenge:
During my tenure at Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. there was period of Leadership transition in my project. The existing lead of the project left and at that time I, a 23-year-old, was made the interim lead for the next three months; until the time a new experienced lead was appointed. That was a challenging time because not only the team of 12 was working with one resource short but also that it lacked in experience. However, I did not let these setbacks create a lot of ruckus. My first job was to bring the team together on one page. Secondly, I made sure the senior resources in my team were content with the fact that I was leading the team during the transition period. Next thing was to delegate daily tasks according to each resource’s specialization and expertise. In this way we managed to shoulder the extra burden of work. I would not say that the three months went about smoothly; there were circumstances of disagreement in the team. However, we, as a team, managed to weather the storm and were able to perform very well during the period.
As a result, I was awarded with a Star of the month award as well.
