PART A: Impacting a Steel City Boy
Being born in one of the steel cities of India, growing up I never realized the importance that Aditya Birla Group had on my life. The only major company that had an initial impact on a steel city boy was Steel Authority of India, as it provided his father a stable job, house to live in a pleasing locality and many other incentives. As a child, it never really matters which fashion brand one is wearing. Same was the case with me, I never cared what is the brand of cloth which I was wearing, whatever my mother shopped for me I considered it to be the best for me. But as days went by, I began to notice the involvement of Birla Group products in our day-to-day life.
The impact of the Aditya Birla Group in my life began when I had to move to a different city for my engineering. During my engineering days, I realized that a person should have a fashion sense or a choice in him, enabling them to distinguish themselves from others. This was the time when I came across Peter England, considered to be one of the most trusted brands in the fashion industry. Peter England had a variety of choices for a person, who liked only simple dressing. The fashion trends present there actually helped someone like me to start having a sense of dressing. Peter England wasn’t a decision when I started to shop, but it became my choice for dressing.
Knowingly or unknowingly, I made a decision to let Aditya Birla Group have an impact on my life.
PART B: Uniqueness
Every one of us, in our lives have faced many ups and downs during various stages. There might be many successes which an individual achieves in his life, but these successes aren’t complete without a failure behind them. People often see the success one has achieved, but they are unaware of the challenges that he has faced for achieving it. The failures or the challenges faced while achieving success is the true teacher one can learn from. These success have no meaning in life if one cannot learn from the challenges faced while achieving it.
There have been many situations in our lives when we try to impress people, but this comes at a cost. The cost one has to face by losing their individuality, their unique personality which makes them different from others. There was a same situation which I faced in my life, trying to impress someone and at the same time losing my uniqueness. I met this person during my engineering days, she was the most organized and dedicated person I have met in my life, but at the same time was childish at her heart. Me being not an organized person decided to change the way. In an attempt to impress her I started doing things which I considered to be a huge task for me. I started losing my uniqueness while trying to impress her. Upon realizing this I decided that it was not the right way, losing oneself in order to impress someone else was wrong. The challenge was not that I lost myself, but it was that how do I regain myself back? That day I realized whatever be the difficulty, I need to regain the uniqueness which I have lost. Till date I feel like I haven’t fully regained it, but one thing is sure that the efforts I am putting I do have achieved the right to say that I might overcome my challenge of re-achieving my uniqueness one day.
Thus it can be said that success isn’t a real success until the challenge faced in achieving the success teaches us a lesson of a lifetime.
