Why Aditya Birla Group is big in your life.
With sweat, sleep and sad eyes, we left the Van Heusen shop. We three, Diya, Gargi and I, have come on our mission to buy formals as per our college demands. This was our third store with no luck and frustration started piping in my veins. Is this city slow or my expectations are high? I couldn’t decide as the disinterested salesperson greeted us. Finally, the store manager called Allen Solly to ascertain the availability of my size in their store and as he nodded in my direction I felt finally god exists.
After I got my precious formals and a wonderful store to which I promised to visit again, I called my mother who I know would be expecting my call. I have left my home town during my graduation and after leaving my birthplace I have, so far, lived eight long years in three different cities, Bhubaneswar being the fourth one. My habit of calling my mother every day has stayed with me like her memories. My mobile phone and its magical internet have made it possible for me to see her face and know her gossips and eventually share mine. Since the last few weeks, she has not been keeping well. Thus, thinking of our distance made me shivered. Oh! how much thankful I have always felt towards technology and the network operator of mine that's Idea. This wonderful Idea has always made me proud at many remote areas of India where I have gone to take a break from life or sometimes to learn about life. As soon as I finished the call, Diya suggested going Pantaloons to complete our shopping spree. While on our way to the Pantaloons in the cab, I looked at the running buildings and contemplated about this MBA phase of my life.
The above mentioned day may seem irrelevant to you but, keeping aside the hardships that are part of this round world, the day couldn’t have been possible without Aditya Birla Group. My clothes, phone, buildings, and many other things exist because of this Indian Conglomerate. In the hustle and bustle of lives, we tend to forget the people who continuously work for the betterment of our livelihood. And surprisingly this group has been working for us for almost 162 years. When I first learned this fact, it took me minutes to gulp their continuous efforts and success not only in India but worldwide. And to know this, all that took was a few moments of observation. Yes, no matter how hectic the schedule gets or how miserable your life is, never ignore the world around you and its people who make our life easy and their success which make us proud Indians. Thus in every sense, Aditya Birla Group is an essential part of not just my but many lives worldwide.
How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far.
As we grow, our ambitions grow as well. In school, my ambition used to be among class toppers while in college my ambitions took a serious turn. Apart from performing well in academics, my interest in writing deepened. As an avid reader, the writing was my root to pen down the emotions books filled me with and gradually I started writing about experiences with life. From that point, my ambition took me to the blogging world where my writing could be read and recognized. When I started working at Infosys, I decided to be dedicated to the work, task, and team. There I got the exposure of the real world about which nobody can teach you. Somethings in life are taught by life itself. Hence I stood firm to the challenges and my ambition started drifting from technical desk-job to managing people and their grievances. Thus I prepared myself, along with the office 9-5, to get enrolled in an MBA college dedicated to Human Resource Management and believe me, it wasn’t a cakewalk. It took hundreds of sleepless nights and undone hair before I got the college I was looking for. So far, the challenges that I have encountered were different in every sense but what remained the same was my approach which can be summarized in one word, persistent. I have been persistent with what I aimed for and have never thought, even once, about giving up. Because the night is darkest just before the dawn.
