Childhood memories are the most cherished ones. I hail from Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh), but since my father was transferred to Bangalore (now Bengaluru), I have spent a considerable part of my life there. Every time we had to buy groceries, we used to go for shopping at the nearby More Supermarket in Indiranagar on weekends. That had been a place of purchase for most of the items ranging from groceries to daily use items like snacks, shampoo and other toiletries. This store is always the one which builds up a sense of nostalgia to the current day when I visit it now, as it was the first supermarket I had seen. I started visiting the store in my 8th class, going through the supermarket looking out for different varieties of snacks placed on the left side back rack of the shop hunting for my favorite ones. I was fascinated by different deals being offered and used to calculate the extra value being provided in products ranging from biscuits to shampoo and toiletries. My sole task was to gather different snacks being offered there. I used to fill my basket completely with snacks like Kurkure, Uncle Chips and not to mention my favorite Cheese Balls. Many times, my dad used to scold me to keep some of them back to the shelf again. I used to put half of them back while my dad went for billing. The staff was very courteous and used to greet us every time we used to visit the store.

After graduation I got the job in Oracle (Bangalore). It was an amazing feeling going back to the store where I used to visit as a kid, but the difference was that this time I was the one making the payment as well.
There were many memories, experiences tied to that store, and that makes ABG as one of the fascinating ones to experience as a customer! Kudos to ABG for impacting so many different lives and making shopping convenient for all!

“The only thing standing between you and your goal is some made-up reason you keep telling yourself why you can’t achieve it.”

Being a guy who used to get confused when asked to decide between Coca-Cola and Pepsi, to becoming a grown up (sort of) with a clear perspective on career, I have certainly come a long way. However, the journey was not an easy ride. The struggle between JEE preparations and the 12th board exam preparations is still one of the most challenging phases I have experienced. My school used to start at 8:00 am and end at 2:00 pm. The JEE coaching center was located quite far from my home. After rushing back home at 2:30 pm after school got over, getting refreshed and having lunch quickly, and returning from the coaching at 10 PM to have dinner and sit again to complete any assignment used to leave me exhausted. Those sleepless nights during the initial few days made me experience all-time lows which became a choice rather than a problem later. With high demanding academics, and different batch shuffling tests in JEE coaching, the burning desire to succeed kept my motivation alive whenever I wanted to quit. I had to make certain sacrifices of reduced TV shows, anime, total NO to parties, restricted chats with friends. Instead I chose to spend that time with my study table and books which seems to be worth every penny when I look back to those days.

The perseverance to achieve my goals and the expectations of my parents to make them proud were the only things which kept me awake during those preparation, in addition to the midnight hot chocolate which my mom used to make. NIT-Allahabad Computer Science & Engineering degree is a tag that I will cherish for a lifetime.
