Part A:
Having a companion in one’s life is the most important thing one can get. They help you irrespective of the situations throughout your lifetime. They stand beside you in your life journey and make you stand all the time by supporting you. One such great companion that I got in my life is ‘Aditya Birla Group’. They have made such an impact, that they turned out into part and parcel of my life and my family.
During my school life, mobile phones were into the market for the very first time, they are available at such an affordable price where even middle-class families like us can buy and use the mobile phone. From that date to till date, the only network my father uses is ‘Idea’. In those days, the only network brand he knew, every other middle-class person knew is the ‘Idea’ network. As its tagline says, ‘An Idea can change your life’, It changed our way of living and the communication levels that it had brought into our lives and everyone’s lives are impeccable. The main reason behind its success is its ultimate signal strength and its plans and tariffs which are highly reasonable.
At present, my father runs a business where we manufacture and distribute home food products. The ‘More’ supermarket is the place where we had our major share of the business which helped in our family’s growth in life and business. The availability of all kinds of products at many locations and ease of shopping with great deals makes ‘More’ more friendly supermarket for everyone.
I come from a civil engineering background, where I know how cement works, tested and its applications. With my personal experience, I understood the quality standards and strength of ‘UltraTech Cement’ have in it, which can sustain all kinds of weather conditions and critical situations. It helped in achieving the dream of my father having a constructed home of our own whose primary requirement is strength and durability of materials during the construction of the house, which is achieved by using ‘UltraTech Cement’ which is also available at reasonable costs.
Getting a seat into top MBA B-School is not an easy task, but I achieved it. The first thing any business professional need is a business-class suit, which I got it from ‘Van Heusen’, the first even suit I bought in my life, which has its own class and style in it.
In this way ABG not just helps our family, it helps many others in different ways like in shopping from ‘Pantaloons’ and ‘More’. It also helps the public, through railways where the copper required for railways is majorly produced by ‘Birla Copper’. In the production of tires containing Nanoparticles made of ‘Birla Carbon’ which makes it safer while driving. The list keeps extending as it is one of the largest conglomerate companies in India. That’s the power of ABG which can have major impacts on anyone’s life as in my life. That’s the reason why I mentioned ABG as my companion.
Part B:
Challenges lead to Destiny
‘Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of overcoming it’ – Helen Keller
I am the kind of person who always likes to take up and solve the challenges and move forward in life. I always love to play sports and games, where it challenges you in every match you play and will teach you something important for your life. As everyone in their lives faces challenges, even I faced some challenges where I faced them by standing straight and with grit and power overcame them.
Since my childhood, I love to dance for any music that comes into my ears. During my school days, when I used to see dance competitions on television, even I felt like participating in those competitions just to be visible on television. I wanted to practice well and participate in this dance shows. But, here comes the problems, we were economically weak where we can’t even afford to have new dance costumes and go to Hyderabad for shooting. But, my father strongly wanted me to participate irrespective of the situations and made me reach there. Personally, the challenge that I had in my body weight. I used to be overweight by 15 kgs than required because of which I was not able to do heavy steps during my practice. I cried a lot as I felt I might not get a chance to see myself on the television set. With my mother’s help, I started reducing my weight by having a proper diet at the age of 12 by avoiding all the food products like chocolates, ice creams, chips, etc., which are my favorites. I came down my weight in six months and guess what, I got a chance and selected to participate in a dance competition in our local news channel in our state. Even though I did not win this competition, I won in my life by achieving my target by facing all the challenges that came before me at that age.
With this inspiration from my childhood, I believed that I can fight any challenges that come across me to reach my goals as I have achieved one of my goals by getting into one of the top B-Schools in India by facing many challenges financially and personally. The passion and interest that I had towards the goal and process of work made me move forward irrespective of situations I am in. I am so proud of where I am today, and I will be proud always in my life by facing all the challenges and coming over them.
