PART A- Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life?
Whenever you think about Aditya Birla Group, number of things come to your mind, right from Aditya Birla Capital Services to Ultra-Tech cement, from Vodafone-Idea telecom services to Fashion and Clothing industry player Pantaloon and the list goes on.
Aditya Birla Group has touched a great many aspects of my life, right from Vodafone-Idea network which ensures that I stay connected with my loved ones. The far reaching, strong network always makes you ‘Reachable’. Be it just a little ‘gupshup’ with my friends or a deep conversation with my mentor, Vodafone-Idea network has got me covered.
Home is not just a place it is an emotion, a lifelong dream for many and Ultra Tech Cement is ensuring that their home is robust and sturdy. Our family just recently moved to a new home built with ever trusted Ultra-Tech cement and it is the safest place on earth for us.
With plenty of options to choose from variety of clothing offered by Allen Solly, Peter England and Van Heusen and not to mention Pantaloons, I have got clothing issue sorted. When it is about T-shirts, I have Allen Solly to look to, if It is for Work-casuals I prefer Peter England for its standardized clothing. Van Heusen has been a preferred choice for suits. Pantaloons above all has been a place to for family shopping.
With a brother studying in BITS Pilani, I realized the contribution the group has made to the education sector in India. All in all, Aditya Birla Group has been a world within itself and also helped me take on the world successfully
PART B- How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far?
Life without challenges is a road without twists and turns. You won’t enjoy the ride as soon it would become monotonous and boring. Challenges make life happening and prompt us look within, introspect, seek inspiration from around and come up with a formidable solution. Let me take you through one such journey of a kid overcoming his challenges and fears.
Flashback to 2003, yes, the same year in which India stormed into the finals of ICC cricket world cup, somewhere in India, a child was taking first competitive exam of his life. The exam had three papers of an hour each and our hero had successfully tackled the first two. It was only before the last one, he did not see his mother wishing him and started looking for her around the exam center, the kid got anxious and ruined his last paper and hence the exam. He and the world around her knew that he was a Mumma’s boy but too much dependency on a single person can cost you dearly and boy, the kid had learnt his lesson albeit, in a hard way.
Fast forward to 2019, our kid has turned into a young adult having an experience of working with a German conglomerate, completed his bachelors from a reputed institute and successfully managing to live away from his family for years now. Recently he broke into one of the Best B-schools in the country and that obviously mean he living in hostel for two more years. What made him overcome his challenges, what made him allay his fears. The answer is grit, determination and an indomitable passion for success. Yes, initial few days or shall I say months were difficult but he held onto it. He focused his attention on job at hand and engaged himself in a number of activities which helped him stay positive and lead a happy life away from home.
One of the many things he has learnt in his life is Small sacrifices you make everyday pave way for bigger success ahead.
Lastly, I would like to quote Bethany Hamilton, albeit with a little twist, Courage, sacrifice, determination, commitment, toughness, heart, talent, guts. That's what little souls are made of.
