Touching lives of millions across the Indian sub-continent and now on a global scale Aditya Birla Group is on their way to join the league of Fortune 500 companies.
It won’t be a far from false statement to make that one might have used a product under their name and be totally unaware of it. From banking, cement, financial services, metals, textiles, telecom, chemicals and many more to count, ABG has its presence across the sectors.
It was in recent past when I came across the fact that Pantaloons is owned by Aditya Birla Group. I was forced to think, how pantaloons changed my shopping experience as a kid. From those boring clothes shops where I had to stand at the counter and wait for the person to show me the clothes, to the all-new way of shopping in a retail store where I could roam around and look at all the variety and be confused with the option available to me , my amusement level used to stay higher than the Empire State building. It’s funny to say but I remember my birthdays when I used to stay all excited about shopping than the birthday itself. All thanks to pantaloons!
I hail from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh and Pantaloons was the first fashion retail store that opened in Rave 3, the first mall in the city. I have seen the store expanding, orientation inside changing, brands getting added and staff changing but it still feels happy to be there.
With the variety of clothing brands and options like Peter England, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Louis Philippe (Oh did I just mention some more Aditya Birla Group brands!), Ajile, Bare, Indus Route and more on the list it gets all in all simple to find the best outfit for myself be it western clothing or Indian apparels.
