If I ever come across the word “Conglomerate”, one of the first names that comes to my mind is Aditya Birla Group. ABG is the conglomerate which can be seen at almost all the places and also in all walks of life. Involvement of a corporation that runs across 14 industry sectors of net worth $44.3 billion employing about 1.2L employees, in a normal person’s life is extremely likely. There are so many aspects of my day-to-day life which Aditya Birla Group caters to.
From fashion to food wrappers, telecommunications to online banking, cement industry to the chemical industry, fibres to carbon black, it is present everywhere and also impacted our lives in a big way. It’s not only a conglomerate, but it is also a brand with which everyone can associate.
Right from the smartphone which is the first thing most of us look at in the morning to picking that perfect outfit for date night, we are engulfed by the brand’s initiatives from Hindalco Aluminium to Louis Philippe, Forever 21, Van Heusen and many more.
My whole life can be neatly knitted around the memories that Aditya Birla Group has gifted me with. My first and only sim that I use till date is a Vodafone Idea Limited sim and it’s nearly impossible to recall and count the plethora of bitter-sweet memories associated with it.
The values coupled with their spread across industries and businesses, offer a vast spectrum of choices that could be the wings to my aspirations. A beginning that would not only allow me to grow as an individual, but would also give me an opportunity to make the world a better place – even if it’s in my own tiny way!
Challenges are a part of everyday life. They make us stronger and without them life becomes somewhat meaningless because we have nothing to compare the good times to.
These challenges come in many forms. For some, the challenge is doing well at school, for others it is getting to grips with financial worries.
But, regardless of the challenge, facing up to it is key. Doing so will make you feel like you can take care of yourself, it will also make you understand the value of what you have now.
One of the most challenging responsibilities was during my internship, when I had a deadline of despatching a large quantity of FBA Shipments to Amazon’s warehouse. There were 6 people working under me and the onus of fulfillment or failure of the task was upon me.
I assigned everyone the tasks in such a way that one person does not get much burdened and at the same time, the task of one person was automatically getting checked by the other. It had to be a combined team effort else it wouldn’t have been possible to finish within the stipulated time.
