Aditya Birla Group has been big in my life in uniquely small ways. I strongly relate with the group’s focus on values while carrying out business in the most efficient and effective manner. ABG’s products play a very important role in various facets of my life.

It has proven to be suitable for all my needs, be it clothing, accessories, footwear or handbags. During my college years, Forever 21 has given me a style statement with its ever-fashionable clothes at a great value. Venturing into the B-school life, Van Heusen has been my one stop solution for formal clothing. The quality and variety offered are unmatched when compared to any other clothing brand.
Apart from the retail sector, the telecom and financial services sector also play a predominant role in my life. Vodafone Idea Limited, India’s leading telecom service provider has been instrumental in providing efficient services by adopting and evolving in the dynamic business environment. It has been my obvious choice because of its superior voice and broadband connectivity all over the country at an affordable value.
Moreover, one cannot ignore the importance of Hindalco products in our day to day life, catering to our daily use of aluminum and copper products. I cook my food in the pressure cookers, non-stick wares or anodized cookware which uses the material manufactured from this subsidiary of the ABG. Neither can I overlook my dependence on using aircraft to travel, the aircrafts made from Hindalco’s flat rolled products. It is difficult to even make a count of the products for which the material is manufactured by the Hindalco, if only I had a separate article to write about it.
Aditya Birla Capital has aided in meeting the financial needs of my family and thus has proven to be a business on which one can rely upon. Last but not the least, it goes without saying that ABG products are even used to provide me a roof, with the largest cement brand ‘Ultra Tech Cement’ which is the leading raw material for usage in buildings, houses, bridges and all mega structures.
Aditya Birla Group has only grown bigger and better, for me and the society at large. The exemplary CSR initiatives of the group have brought about a positive change in millions of lives and stand as a testimony of its emphasis on value creation.
This journey of Aditya Birla Group professes us how to attain the highest levels of success by overcoming the hurdles and challenges that the journey entails. Similar in this essence, my life too brought some unexpected challenges at different points in time. I thought everything was going well and, in my favor, but then some situations propped up that tried to push me down and tested my abilities to move back up with the same vigor and confidence. One such time was when I was in the second year of my under graduation at Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. I had always been active on the extra-curricular front and took keen interest in taking up leadership positions. But after losing the elections for the post of Treasurer in my college, I felt a bit doubtful about my skillset to attain that role. However, whatever challenges I face on the personal or professional front, I try to tackle them with positivity and better efforts. I was soon selected as a Coordinator at an NGO operating at the state level. Our team of coordinators were made responsible for adding more college teams to the already existing network of 15 college teams across Delhi. While approaching the college authorities, I faced a challenge of establishing it as an official society due to lack of trust with the colleges towards an outsider.
I sought a completely different approach to resolve this challenge. I approached, selected and mentored a few responsible students of the college who, under the organization’s vision and my leadership, were able to successfully engage with 500+ students in a nearby government school. With tangible results at hand, we once again approached the college authorities, who were more than happy to register the NGO as an official society in their college considering the trust we created through our work. My achievement of leading a project in a result driven structure was appreciated. Consequently, I was made the Head Coordinator of the NGO for the next academic session.
Failures and challenges come with great learnings as well as opportunities to strive for better results. These challenges have helped me to evolve as an individual and develop a positive outlook towards life.
