IMPACT OF ABG ON MY LIFE
Let me start with one of the stories of my childhood. I was around 8 years old, every day when at 6:00 am my mom starts preparing lunch for me I used to say to her ‘Mummy aaj hotel wala khana dena tiffin mein’. My mom used to smile and say ok. My mom knew that what hotel wala khana meant to me at that time, after preparing lunch she just wraps it in the aluminium foil of ‘Freshwrapp’ and when at lunch I open my tiffin and find it wrapped in foil I get happy, that Freshwrapp foil for me was a symbol of hotel food. At that point in time, I was not even aware of Freshwrapp, Hindalco or Aditya Birla Group. But even at that time, ABG was there in my life.
My first introduction with Aditya Birla Group was through Utratech cement. My maternal uncle is a cement dealer who gave me the diary of Ultratech cement when I was 10. At that time I used to think that ABG is a cement company. By the age of 12, I got to know that the IDEA sim my father use also belongs to this group and who can forget those ads of ‘Ek idea jo badal de aapki duniya’ and ‘what an idea sir ji’. As time passed and I grew young I realized that Peter England and Louis Philippe, shirts and paints I wear also belongs to ABG. Before that, I was considering them as foreign brands.
At the age of 20, ABG already influenced me positively at various stages of my life and I am quite sure that in future it will continue to influence me with lots of brands under its umbrella and diversified products from cement to non-ferrous metals and from fashion to financial services, that’s why I call ABG as Any Body Goods Co. (It has goods for everyone).

Life put challenges at its every stage and how we face and overcome it, is a story in itself which inspire and motivate us for the lifetime. Let me tell you my story, which is a simple one but still interesting. By the time I reached my 9th standard, I developed ‘MATH PHOBIA’. I made perception in my mind that ‘My Maths Is Weak’. I performed constantly bad and got constantly poor marks in Maths for the whole year. Now, it was my 10th standard I had put all my efforts in Maths but I was never confident that I could do well in this subject, as a result, I failed miserably to score good marks in my half yearly and final exams. From 11th I left Maths (took commerce without Maths) but Maths never left me. It continued to come in my life like a horrible dream in the form of Statistics, Annuities, and Integration. Till this time when some concept related to Maths came in my way, I used to avoid it. Time passed on, now I was in graduation more confident and more logical. It was my 2nd year and I came across subjects like Business Maths and Business Statistics. The phobia again returned but this time I don’t avoid it but was adamant to face it. In these years I always used to think that instead of putting efforts why I can’t do well in Maths and I got the answer ‘my Maths become weak on the day when I formed the perception that my Maths is weak’ . So this time when I faced Maths I let go of this perception and faced it like I was always good in it and the result was amazing I scored 80+/100 in both the mathematical subjects of my graduation. That year I learned an important lesson-
“Whether you are a winner or a loser it’ s all in the mind. A winner in mind never loses and a loser in mind never wins”.
