With Forever 21 being my most visited place as it is on my sister’s priority list forever.

Another Cyber Fraud!!
In December 2017, my family decided to buy a pet dog (a golden retriever) so I searched for that breed in my local town but unluckily it was unavailable there. I searched online and then Indiamart (online platform to connect seller and buyer) gave me a list of its verified supplier trusting to the Indiamart’s established name in the market I contacted some of its sellers from the list. I luckily found a supplier. He sent me certain pictures on whatsapp and his complete details, website links and price. I trusted him because it was written he is a verified supplier on Indiamart and is listed past 3 years. He asked me for a complete advance on his bank account number and I did the same. Then he started blocking my calls and there was no delivery too, he was a fraud. I contacted Indiamart they tried to help me, but I think it was not up to the mark. First, they didn’t verify him going to his place it was a verbal on phone verification. And second, they were taking too much time to elevate the issue. They told me they unlisted and banned the seller from Indiamart, but this was not a solution because he would easily create another account and still do the fraud. It was also a mistake on my part to transfer on an unknown account.
When I went to police station I was shocked to the amount of cases there were of cyber frauds. What I learnt is to use safe methods while dealing with unknown. To look at legal aspects was also a new & learning experience. Inquire bank before transferring funds to the unknown. Aware others about online frauds like this.
