My “Aditya Birla Group” story would give a glimpse of brand-perception of ABG in the minds of the small-town people. So, how small-town people recognize the “ABG”? Can you guess it? Yes, People attach the “ABG” with the “Ultra-tech Cement”.
It was the time around 2005. Someone who has been to the villages of India around the early 2000s would tell you that a wave of “Pakka Makkan” was prevalent (“Pakka Makkan” means a house built of the bricks and cement). At that time, I remember that most of the houses were constructed of the mud with the temporary roof(“Chappar”). If you look at the demographics of the “Rural India”, you would find that most of them are the farmers. Having a “Pakka Makkan” became the aspiration of the poor or lower-middle-class family residing in a village. It became a sign of the “Social Respect” in the villages. I remember the feeling of pride when people used to tell each other that they have got a “Pakka Makkan”.All these things are ingrained into my memory very firmly because I used to stay along with my grandparents in a remote village of UP around that time.
The presence of ABG is ominous. One can find the bags of “Ultratech Cement” laying around where the construction work is going on. It shows the depth of the distribution channels of Ultratech Cement covering every nook-and-corner of India. Ultratech Cement is not just cement, but, it is that “cohesive force” on which the aspirations of an Indian stands. It is the strength of the Ultratech Cement in which the Indians have imposed their faith.
And, who can forget the role played by the advertisement for “Utratech Cement”? Still, the TVs’ advertisement window never becomes interesting without Ultratech Cement's Ad.
Here is my story, a boy from small-town. A boy was working hard against all the odds. A boy from a small-town was building his career when the people were constructing their houses from the UltraTech Cement. My story closely resembles the story of a hard-working boy. I took the path of Kota to test myself on the National Level. My carrier was taking the shape in the same way, in which the aspirations were being fulfilled by the ABG. I have got the opportunity to study in an IIM.I believe that I will certainly do the justice to the faith shown by my family on me. Hopefully, I will undertake the responsibility in the same way ABG’s Ultratech Cement takes the responsibility of the trust of millions of Indians. Surely, I will play an integral role in building India in the same way ABG’s Ultratech has built India.
