ABG group

When we talk about Indian multinational conglomerate first name came to our mind is the Aditya Birla Group, that is the impact ABG have on the mind of people of India. The group was founded by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla in 1857. It operates in 35 countries with more than 120,000 employees worldwide.

The group has interests in viscose staple fibre, metals, cement, viscose filament yarn, branded apparel, carbon black, chemicals, fertilisers, insulators, financial services, telecom, BPO and IT services. The group had a revenue of approximately US$44.3 billion in year 2018. It is the third-largest Indian private sector conglomerate behind Tata Group with revenue of just over $100 billion and RIL with revenue of $74 billion. The Aditya Birla Group is the world's largest producer of Viscose staple fibre. It owns the Birla Cellulose brand.

ABG has personally left a big impression on me. My family has a construction business. As we all know for any construction to last long it should have strong foundation and for that basic material like cement should be used of high quality. We used Aditya Birla Ultratech cement in all our building. Its quality is very good and cost efficient also as compare to other brand.

Aditya Birla Group also sells in-house brands such as Louis Philippe, Allen Solly, Van Heusen, Peter England and People via their individual brand stores and through other multi brand outlets. It operates a multi brand fashion retail chain Pantaloons.

Aditya Birla Group also gives back to society in form of CSR activities. Its aim is to build a better, sustainable way of life for the weaker sections of society and raise the country's human development index. Following are some stats about its CSR activities: it works in 5000 villages, reaches out to 7.5 million people, treated over a million people, midday meal every day for 63,000 children in 268 schools, provided solar lamps for 4,50,000 school children.

At last I would say Aditya Birla Group is not just a company its more like family to people of India.
