Part A

Taking India to the world, is what Aditya Birla Group stands for and believes in. Definitely, it has rightfully taken India to the world with its subsidiaries in all sectors of business.

It has been a major part of my lifestyle.

From my house made up of Ultratech cement to my car tyres made of Carbon Black.

From Idea being my network partner to Pantaloons for making me updated with the fashion trends.

From its life insurance to financial services for securing me.

From providing the raw materials to build Mumbai’s pride – the Sea Link to providing the raw materials to the Indian Railways.

We walk on their roads, travel in their trains, wear their clothes and also they connect us with each other over long distances.

With sheer hard work and dedication they have put themselves in the league of the Fortune 500 and generate a major part of their revenues from international market thus carrying the brand of India to foreign cities.

I am not only a loyal customer for its fashion brands at a personal level but also aspire to be a part this seven decade long legacy or at least learn from their mottos and imbibe some of their teachings into myself so as to be as successful as them. ABG is not just a company but a nation’s pride.

Part B

In my schooling days, I had this dream of making my career in fashion field. What people thought of it was that I wanted to become a fashion designer but that was not right. I knew designing was not for me, my bad art being a major reason. So I researched on it, looked for colleges and courses, tried sources from fashion field.

To my surprise, I got to know about the course called fashion technology which dealt with apparel production. The course instantly clicked me and I was sure I that I would pursue it but the challenge was only NIFTs had this course. Now my target was cracking NIFT.

I looked out for coaching for NIFT and along with preparing for boards, I prepared for the entrance examination. Lunch breaks in school became my practice time for NIFT questions. Seeing my friends hanging out and having fun while I practice the questions was not easy but I had to do it.

End result- NIFT, Delhi cracked.
