PART A

Knowingly and unknowingly, Aditya Birla group Brands play a very important role in our life. From the Aluminium foil (Superwrapp) in which we daily pack our lunch to the house we live in (Birla white cement), ABG Brands are involved in our life one way or the other. ABG is constituted of plethora of brands covering roughly 8 sectors namely Banking, Carbon Black, Cement, Fashion, Financial Services, Metals, Textiles and Chemicals. Since its inception in 1857 it has been associated with many revolutionary changes they brought about in their respective sectors while working towards a sustainable development of society as a whole.

I still remember the first time I bought my formal attire from Van Heusen (which is an ABG Brand) for my b-school interview and fortunately was able to crack the interview too. Leaving clothes aside for a minute, The frequency with which we use our Cell phones every day is astounding and being a loyal IDEA(ABG brand) user which provides the best internet service across India, I am thankful to ABG for introducing for bringing IDEA In our lives as it literally changed my life. The cabs in which we travel on a regular basis are all made of Auto trims (jute felt-based car interiors) which offers door trims, interior trims, package trays, felt, carpet and insulators for all most all major car makers of India are all manufactured by Aditya Birla Group.

Thus ABG is omnipresent and connected with our lives! So yes ABG is a big thing in my life and being an Indian I couldn’t help but take pride on the mammoth that ABG is!

PART B - BIGGEST CHALLENGE IN MY LIFE

Sometimes life is really hard and unexplainable. We all want to think that we have everything under control but it’s not always true. Life is full of up and downs. We just need to have the strength to get up when we are down. I faced the similar situation in my life as well. There was a time I was preparing for my CA Inter exams. Even after studying for ‘n’ number of hours for a year and giving the exam with full dedication, I was not able to clear the same. It broke my heart .I lost all the hopes for clearing the same. For once,I decided to not to attempt the exams again. But sometimes the hope of others, especially your parents which in our generation is often misinterpreted as pressure can help you rebuild your hope and will power in bits and pieces. My family encouraged me to attempt the exams again and advised me not to worry about the outcome. I took their advice into consideration and mustered up all the courage left in me, started focusing on my studies and attempted the exams again and was able to clear it this time. This experience taught me that when life hits you down, you have a choice to make- you either stay down and feel sorry for yourself or get up and believe in yourself. I decided to choose the latter one because a wise man once said,” When you feel like quitting, think about why you started.”
