ABG is with me since I learnt ABC #IIM Trichy
I remember my mother used to wrap Chapattis for my lunch in school and college in Hindalco foils and no need to mention Hindalco is subsidiary of Aditya Birla Group. If any time in recent past I would open my closet I will find Van Heusen shirt or Louis Philippe suit or pantaloons T shirt and if none of these is there, Peter England or Allen Solly must be there. It is because if you think of any popular apparel brand there are high chances that it is associated with Aditya Birla Group. The value provided by ABG in apparel industry through Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited is impeccable. Not only apparel industry but group is consistently delivering valuable products in fibre, cement, metal, financial services, chemicals, communication, IT and many more. Started in 1857 with cotton trading, this business conglomerate is $40 Billion group today and is 3rd largest Indian private sector conglomerate. India’s largest cement company Ultratech serves the need for cement worldwide and same was used when we built are our home back in 2014. One more place where ABG is very close to my heart may be not directly but emotionally, is the social service done by group for nation. More than a million villagers are served by 18 charitable hospitals run by group. Group has been working for society from its inception. There are numerous examples where ABG has been with me always and I am sure it will be with me in future with existing and upcoming products and services.
Life is a journey full of challenges
Life is a journey where one has to pave its path to happiness and success by dealing with many challenges using calmness, positive attitude and proper channelisation of energy one holds. I have also applied the same throughout my life to overcome many challenges faced so far. My ambition in life has always been to be at a position where I can set an example to society which can motivate others and in fulfilling that ambition only mantra I have followed is to excel in the current situation of life. I was able to complete my schooling from a privately owned renowned school only because of the scholarship I used to get and to get that scholarship, I had to compete with huge set of my classmates and I was always successful in doing that only because of setting scholarship as my goal and feeling of “I can” in my mind. When I wanted to join engineering college , I was not able to make it to any of NITs or IITs , but I didn’t lose hopes and was admitted to best university campus of Haryana and it was also possible because of having positive attitude and hard work I put in my preparations. Before completion of my B tech, I was placed in Tata Consultancy Services as system engineer but when I was assigned the project to work with, technology there was completely different from what I had learnt in my initial learning program at TCS. But again I followed the same principle of being hopeful and putting as much efforts as I can and I excelled in that technology and was awarded “on the spot award” for excellence. When I planned to pursue MBA, I started preparing for CAT along with my job at TCS. It was not easy to do both tasks simultaneously but I managed to maintain balance between two and proper channelling of energy along with confidence to perform best lead me to IIM Trichy. I will not say that I never felt low and never had any problem in facing all these challenges, but my zeal to excel and hard work always lead me ahead in my life.
