Aditya Birla Group’s tagline “BIG IN YOUR LIFE” is not just for namesake, it is big in our life.
ABG is one of the largest Indian private sector conglomerates, almost everyone knows this, I also knew this, but, I will be honest, I knew very little about it, basically through newspapers and magazines. I never took the liberty of searching for this group over the internet. But when I got this article to write, I searched for ABG over the internet, and believe me it was so easy to find various facts and figures about ABG (more than 1.1 crore results on google just in 0.54 seconds).
First, I visited the company’s website, and I was welcomed with the most eye catching and attractive advertisement I had ever seen. It was so brilliant that I watched it over and over for almost 8-10 times, and even made my roommate watch it. As I started to read more about Aditya Birla Group, it made me realise that it is omnipresent, it is everywhere, the roads we travel on, the dress we wear, the network we use for connecting to people, the financial services that we use. It has it finger in every pie, whether we talk about metals, textiles, cement, financial services, telecom, fashion, carbon black, chemicals, insulators, agri-business or mining, everything.
If I talk about myself, ABG has played a very big role in my life in the form of Pantaloons, the shopping paradise for fashion lovers. I generally never went to malls or shopping complex, but when I, with my bunch of friends went to pantaloons just to pass our leisure time under air conditioners, I was surprised to see the varieties of attracting fashion wears under one roof. And from that time onwards, Pantaloons became the first preference when I had to buy myself clothes. And its not just me, I think everyone loves every product and services provided by Aditya Birla Group.

Hey! It's really heart-wrenching to see articles like this, and kudos to the writer's perseverance. That being said, I wanted to understand something: what got him to this position in the first place? Were it bad grades in college, or really lack of opportunities? Clearly, he had two interviews which he couldn't convert. Any particular reason why? I'm just asking these questions to gain clarity on what one needs to do in their two years in the B-School. It's common knowledge that no college really has 100% placements. But what people keep mum about is why. Let's get that out in the open as well, please?

Didnt find it that great, author trying too hard really to make readers feel pitty about the position of the guy, but alas couldn't do, at least for me. Might be a reality though but thats life and giving up hope should never be any option, not a big deal even if we dont fetch the best of offers from the best of schools and obviously best of schools not always the end of road.
