PART-A

Aditya Birla Group has always been a part of our lives due to its business in so many segments. It has its business in the Textile Industry, Agribusiness, Carbon Black, Chemicals, E-commerce, Finance, Mining, Retail, Telecommunications, and Wind Power. With these, many businesses it has become third largest Indian sector conglomerate with a revenue of US $44.3 billion in the year 2018 behind Tata Group and RIL. Also established 162 years ago in 1857.

Most common brands that I have encountered are Ultratech Cement, Pantaloons, Vodafone-Idea and Abof. Wherever there is construction work, only 2-3 cement brands come in your notice and Ultratech cement has always been there.  Not only in India, but it is also one of the world’s top cement manufacturers. Additionally, the company is the largest clinker exporter in India. Pantaloons come in your surroundings whenever you visit a mall. Most malls, specifically talking about the NCR region has a big area designated to Pantaloons in the malls and the markets. We get top brands and a variety under one roof. The next is the Vodafone-Idea merger. This merger has become the number one company in the telecom industry ahead of Airtel and Reliance Jio. Next, that comes in the list is Abof which is in the E-commerce for fashion apparel. This is a very recent addition to the ABG understanding the presence and increase of E-commerce usage in India.

Hence this shows that Aditya Birla Group identifies the market well has its presence everywhere to stabilize its business.

PART-B

Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. – Malcolm X

Right from my childhood, I have understood the importance of education in strengthening once core and hence I have always tried to maintain a healthy balance between focusing on education and other peripheral delights.

During my under graduation, I started exploring options for my future. To find my right calling I started exploring different domains. I did courses in finance and marketing, discussed with individuals working in the industry finally, after much hustle I understood that supply chain management is my calling.

To realize my dream in excelling in Supply Chain dream I knew I had to do post-graduation in business and thus began my toil towards getting into an A-rated MBA College. I decided to CAT exam but due to the family’s financial condition to support my family I started working as a retail associate in automobile start-up.

Two years after working in the organization when my family’s financial condition stabilized I decided to finally pursue my dream. I used to work 6 days a week for 12 hours and after that, I used to prepare for the entrance exam. However, being weak in verbal section I was not able to dedicate the required hours for practice.

I took the most difficult decision of my life and left my job for preparation purposes. I was in a stage that if I were unable to perform well, I would be in a situation of no job and no dream. This was the most difficult hurdle I ever faced.

Finally, my efforts bore fruit and I was able to crack the college of my dreams.
