The Aditya Birla Group, in its 162 years, has been impacting millions of lives, the beauty of which lies in the fact it is not limited to only one particular sector, but is spread over multiple segments of life, be it fashion, construction or connectivity. Not only is it touching lives, it also ensures that it is protecting the environment while doing so.
As it is said, you never get a second chance to make a good first impression. A key part of making a good first impression is how well-groomed and how confident you are. Nothing gives you confidence like a well-fitted suit. When I was preparing for my job interviews during my engineering and also while preparing for interviews for admission into the top b-schools of the country, one thing that was my constant companion throughout and that gave me an immense amount of confidence was my Van Heusen three-piece suit. The way it beautifully fit and was so comfortable to wear gave me a confidence boost.
Even when I was working in TCS, I bought a lot of my clothes from Pantaloons, which is a multi-brand fashion retail chain. It always had the latest fashion trends and also gave one a lot of choices to select from.
The go-to brand for any girl who loves dressing, Forever 21, also comes under ABG. Whenever we had a party to dress for or a trip to go on that is where my friends and I would head. Needless to say, we were never disappointed.
In every step of our life, life throws multiple challenges at us. How we deal with these challenges is what defines us as a person. These situations provide us with an opportunity to better ourselves. Our reactions to these situations shape us as a human being. They give us a chance to learn and to grow.
I have also faced multiple challenges in my life so far. I hope they have only made me into a better person.
One such situation was when I was working in TCS. When I started working for my project, my team comprised of 4 members. However, very soon, owing to circumstances, my teammates were either released or moved to different teams. The responsibility of the entire team fell on my shoulders. Being a fresher to the project as well as to an organisation, this came as a challenge to me. I did not give in under the workload. Instead of worrying and being frantic, I kept my calm throughout. I realised that what is going to help me is to look at the situation objectively, analysing the problem at hand and finding areas where improvements could be done. Once I had identified the improvement points, I worked on them to make my job easier. I noticed patterns where repetitive tasks were involved. For all such processes, I wrote down pieces of code which would automate the process and save valuable time for me. I could utilize this time in a more productive and efficient manner.
Overcoming such challenges has given me the confidence that no matter what challenge life throws at us, we can always overcome it and come out victorious on the other side. With each challenge, we only grow stronger and better equipped to face the next one.
