There are few places in everyone’s life that they have unique attachment with. Almost everyone have that unique attachment to their home. Home, a place that is synonymous to love, hope, dreams and what not. It is a place where the story begins for most of us. From making drawings on the walls to punching the walls to sitting beside the walls with family during family get-togethers, the walls having the touch of UltraTech cement have witnessed every stage and every emotion of the life. There were times when my father, who is a civil engineer, advised people to use UltraTech cement. As I grew up, I realized their tagline ‘The Engineer’s choice’ was so apt. With each passing year, we develop hobbies, interests and passion. I don’t even remember when I developed the love for driving and I have no realization on how many roads I have travelled till now and out of those how many are constructed by Aditya Birla Group.

From having FreshWrapped meals to first Grasim suiting to collection of formal shirts of Peter England to Pantaloons Gift Voucher as first professional reward, Aditya Birla Group has contributed massively throughout my life. The US$44.3 billion group, with 120,000 employees has been engaged in making different parts of our life memorable and is still striving to deliver their best. The group is present in more than 10 sectors and has Idea to include more sectors under its umbrella. One can imagine how big this group is and how big its impact is in life. Grabbing the opportunity and thanking the group for being instrumental in my life is the least I can do.

“When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not yet ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back.” – Paulo Coelho

Our life is full of challenges at each and every moment. If we don’t have challenges in our life and we are in our comfort zone, then life will be bore. Challenges are the medium that provides best learning and help one gain maturity. One of the challenges I faced dates back to 2011. 2011 was the year when I attempted for the prestigious IIT-JEE and AIEEE exams. The IIT-JEE exam was scheduled on 10th April. At the same time cricket world cup was going on and distraction was as expected. As a result, I couldn’t perform well in that exam. But still hopes were high as AIEEE was still to happen. On 1st May, the D-day for AIEEE, the exam started as scheduled. But wait, within 2 minutes there was announcement stating exam papers have been leaked and exam stands postponed to 12:30 PM. The challenge was to remain calm and not to panic. Also it was a challenge to spend 3 hours at an unknown place on hot summer day. Somehow I managed those 3 hours and again sat for the exam. The results came a month later and I was able to secure engineering seat in a prestigious college.

As rightly said by Martin Luther King Jr. “Our very survival depends on our ability to stay awake, to adjust to new ideas, to remain vigilant and to face the challenge of change” we should always be ready for challenges as they are least expected events in one’s life.
