Aditya Birla Group (ABG), being a premium global conglomerate, is a part of almost every resident of India indifferent to whether they are aware of that or not. It is one of the first names that strikes my mind when I think of conglomerates. It has its presence in almost 34 countries and employs close to 1.5 lac employees. ABG has touched many lives and even the day-to-day life of an individual. My father has been using its communication services for a long time now. I clearly remember it was earlier known as ESCOTEL. I use Vodafone Idea Limited for its seamless connectivity and high speed internet which transcends the border of communication. Being a MBA student calls for more formal dressing rather than casuals. The brands such as Allen Solly, Van Heusen, etc. occupies more than 50% space of my wardrobe. The group has kept my food fresh and hygienic for almost all my childhood and even more with the help of Freshwrapp product. I have many memories of playing with the ball made out of the wrap after having the food and I still cherish them. Bandra-Worli sea link made out of 0.1 million metric tonnes of Ultratech cement has changed the way in which people in Mumbai travel. There are many more products and brands of the group that have directly impacted my life. CSR initiatives undertaken by the group in the field of Healthcare, Education, Livelihood, Infrastructure are ensuring a better life to the unfortunate ones in the country.

Excerpts from my Life

We as humans have to face different challenges every day in our lives and the one who stands out is the one who overcomes them with utmost diligence. This short story is reflective of the same. After completing my graduation in, June 2017, I had the option of working as an analyst in a financial firm or to go for higher studies. I consulted my teachers, parents and peers, but everyone had a different opinion as to what should be the road ahead. I was in a state of despair and utter confusion but I also knew that I had to make a quick decision as I was running out of time. I knew that somewhere down the line my graduation college would act as an impediment to my career growth in terms of what I want to achieve in life and hence I decided to go for higher studies (MBA). By this time, it was late July and I had less than 4 months left for the preparation of the management entrance exams. I stood tall and did not lose hope and studied with grit and determination. As the process generally happens my hard work paid off and the results were overwhelmingly good, given the amount of preparation time I had and my aptitude level at the start of preparation. The lesson learnt was simple but a very effective one per se, with determination, self-confidence and hard work we can achieve everything we can think of.
