ABG, established in 1857, has stood the test of time and has evolved with the times to expand into markets ranging from Cements to Clothing.
My personal bonding with ABG has been on multiple levels. My earliest association dates back to my school days where we’d go “Get Idea!” cheekily to any person who’d say “No Idea” to a question asked. Similarly, suggestions that were out-of-the-box were appreciated with “What an Idea, Sir ji!”. The tag line was so popular that I ended up subscribing to Idea’s services when I eventually got a mobile of my own.
I remember the day when my dad took me to Pantaloons and bought me a brand-new Allen Solly shirt to wear on the first day of my engineering. It was a time I was transitioning from an adolescent to an adult and the fact that my father chose to gift me with an Allen Solly shirt drives home the image of quality and maturity that ABG represents in the elderly.
I see ABG as a living entity that has seen the first war of independence in 1857, the moral crushing rule of the British, the eventual independence of India and now, driving the India story globally. ABG has seen it all, and has come out stronger each day. Contributing to India on various facets, be it UltraTech Cement or Hindalco Industries, every venture of ABG has left a profound impact on driving the economy and bettering the lifestyle of the common man of the country. Constantly evolving as it moves into the future, ABG makes every Indian proud of the potential of his land.
