Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life?
Aditya Birla Group (ABG) is an Indian conglomerate and was founded by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla in 1857. Since then, Aditya Birla group has offered innovative products and services, and also reached out to millions globally. It has its presence in 35 countries and has approximately 120,000 employees worldwide. Operating in different sectors, ABG is the world’s second largest company in telecom. After the Vodafone- Idea merger, all I can say is ‘What an idea Sir ji’.
When it comes to fashion, the first thing that comes to my mind is Forever 21, which has been acquired by ABG. Formal wear by Van Heusen and Peter England are more common among business officials. In our day to day life, what we demand is comfort, which is provided by Louis Philippe, Allen Solly and People. These brands have maintained a proper balance of formals and casuals i.e. ‘Fresh Fashion’. Also, they have 1,500 premium multi-brand shops with over 320 departmental outlets worldwide, which make their availability easy.
Having a perfect room with all new amenities is the dream of every person. If you have Eternia Aluminium Window, which is a perfect combination of design and engineering, it’s like cherry on the top of a cake. It not only separates us from the noise of the outer world, but is also suitable for all weather conditions.
Many a times, we judge quality of a food by its packaging. When we open our tiffin box, we expect fresh food which also looks good. Hindalco Industries Limited is the metals flagship company of Aditya Birla Group and is responsible for keeping our food healthy and fresh. It also provides services such as building & construction, automotives, electrical, consumer durables, refractories, and ceramics, in which we invest once in our life time. Being a conglomerate, the next sector it includes is manufacturing and supply of carbon black additives. We never focus on carbon content or its product, but we use them daily directly or indirectly.
ABG owns the leading brands and companies across the tire, rubber, plastic, ink and paint industries globally. The brand it includes is Conductex and Raven. ABG has also made its presence in the financial services sector. Health, life insurance and online money management portal—Aditya Birla Money MyUniverse are the most common of this sector I came across. They are also providing facilities to the people for asset management, housing finance, equity & commodity broking, wealth management and distribution.
The cement provided by ABG has justified its tagline and has made our houses look beautiful. ABG is a one in a million conglomerate which has taught me that ethics and values can never be compromised. ABG has been the leader and will continue to lead in the future as well.
PART B
Challenge that I overcame to achieve my ambitions in life
We all have different ways of living. But at the end, the question is, ‘Did you survive?’, ‘Are you happy with what you have achieved?’ Every time we face a problem, we come up with a better version of ourselves. I tried to be a persistent person in my life.
When I joined Infosys as a trainee, I was not able to maintain pace with rest of the trainees. I faced many problems like difficulty getting the logic which other people were able to understand effortlessly. But, I didn’t give up on it. Though it was disappointing for me at many instances, but at the end of the training, I was able to do all the codes with them on time and sometimes in the easier way than other people. All we need is a positive attitude, consistency and spontaneity to handle the obstacles coming our way. We have to trust ourselves and believe that we will achieve what we want to achieve one day. The day we lose hope, we will lose everything.
We are the key to our motivation and we are responsible for the outcomes as well. We have to work on ourselves and improve every day. Challenges are the stairs to the next level, which we have to cross to achieve something in our life. Apart from everything, the most important thing in life is to be happy. While achieving our goals we forget that why we are doing this. Is the motto fulfilled? Are we happy now? If despite being pressurised, we try to do our work happily, then we can maintain a proper balance of our lives in all aspects. So, whenever I had a problem, this is the method which worked for me.
