Seeing the likes of Harsha Bhogle and many others, I wished to be a public speaker. The charm they produced, the knowledge they pertain and the way the convince were emphatic. I wanted to be like them. But I wasn't able to do that because I was an introvert and had stage fear. It was very hard for me to speak in front of an audience. I used to fumble, forget or get lost whenever I saw a large group of people looking at me.
There are some dreams you just dream and some which keep you awake. This was keeping me awake all night. I wanted to do this. This is a stepping stone to all my other dreams and I have to do something about it.
So, I joined a group discussion group by Quora called Quora meetups which take weekly meetings and discussions on new topics of interest. Though there were many who plan to come only a few could turn up. So it all started for me with a group of five. I participated in a few of these interactions and even practiced in front of a mirror before facing them. Slowly the group size also increased but now I was not afraid. I was getting ready now. Not only I started to put forward my points in a group but I also learned a lot of new aspects of the same topic. Those were life-changing times for me. Possibly the reason why I am in a top tier B- School like IMI, Delhi. From a boy who barely talked to a man who gives 3 presentations every day at IMI, Delhi is the story of my life. This taught me to learn and evolve yourself every day till the time you are the best version of yourself.
