ABG was set up by Sri Basant Kumar Birla who started his career as a junior employee at Kesoram Industries so that he can learn the art of business from the very basics. Even when he reached the peak of his career he was always grounded in his attitude and did everything he could to positively impact the lives of the other people. I try to take and gain the same motivation from him I try to give back to society in my capacity and start from the very bottom sticking to my basics. I was part of the Rotaract club during my graduation and we used to hold blood donation camps and did other things for the underprivileged. I was also a part of Team Parivartan at my previous job which undertook CSR activities.
One of the biggest challenges I have faced is in the hackathons I used to take part in my graduation. When I started participating in them we had no clue where to start and no plan to go further as we were not equipped with the technical knowledge and acumen required for the competition although we had great ideas to implement. So we started from the very basic and worked very hard under our seniors and started leaning about the technologies which could be used. It took us many competitions and months to build our skills but at it was all worth it. We won the hackathon held at IIT Delhi with over 50 teams competing for the prize. We won 25 k as the cash prize and 75k of another benefits. It was just the start and we won many other hackathons like at Thapar etc. But after winning them we realized that we can learn something new at each one of them.
