I know ABG just doesn't come directly in my life but also indirectly. I know my father has secured our future through Aditya Birla Insurance. I know it's the Phosphate in my favorite cake that makes it so fluffy. The Carbon surrounds me, be it my bike's tires or the ink in my pen or for that matter maybe the paint used everywhere. Is the Gold in my ring also coming from ABG? Definitely, Maybe. I wouldn't be surprised if someone tells me that the Fibre in my clothes also is of ABG’s.
Can we see it? How ABG is literally in every part of my life. It plays so BIG role in my life. Life wouldn't have been so good without the Aditya Birla Group.
How Have I Made An Impact?
After doing my engineering. I joined a reputed corporate company. It was my first step towards a successful career. The next step was getting into a premier B-School. Job in a corporate company was so much learning. I quickly started learning whatever came in my way. I started adapting to my new life. However, just after two months, one day I received a call from home about how my father's health had suddenly declined and how he was unable to run the business. I quickly packed all my stuff and returned home.
When I joined my business, I didn't have much knowledge about running a business. Our business was in the middle of completing many orders. I had to hit the ground running. The first day when I had gone to the workplace, a new problem cropped up. The workers were agitated over delay in paying their wages. It wasn't a good start. Half of the first day went in convincing them to continue working until the wages were arranged. I understood I need to work more hard.
From the next day, I started going to the workplace 2 hours before the working time. I used to plan all the day’s work before the day starts. Gave in more time to workers in gaining their confidence. Every evening, I spent an extra 1 hour analyzing how the day went? Where I can improve? Did I complete everything I had planned for the day? Clients handling was very difficult. Nevertheless, with the help of my dad, I gained skills in handling clients. In all this, I couldn't miss my dream. I started preparing for B-School entrance exam. I started putting extra hours late at night to prepare for the exam.
Initially, it was very difficult to manage all this. Many times, I broke down and thought of just settling for this. Nevertheless, my parents continued to motivate me. At last, results started showing up. The business came on track, my father's health improved and I cleared the entrance exam. Those 4 months of extreme hard work taught me to be always ready for difficult circumstances in life. Now, when I look back again; I think, I did well.
