Aditya Birla Group has been a part of a very unforgettable experience that I have had, which always makes me cherish ABG.
We had a maid at our home.
One fine day, she was telling my mom, that she was very keen on educating her only daughter, but she lacked the money to get her admitted to a good private school and the government school in which her daughter was studying, she felt was not adding value to her daughter.
A few days later, in my school, our teacher was telling us about the various initiative that the brands take, and one of it was the “Aditya Birla Schools”, who provide quality education to the students at very nominal fees. It reminded me of my maid’s daughter, so I told my Mom about that who informed the maid. Considering the very nominal fee structure and the medium of education as English, she decided to get her daughter admitted to that school. Her daughter seemed to like the culture, as there were opportunities for Extra-Curriculars as well, however since her medium of education had always been Hindi, she found it difficult to adapt to the English medium, hence I decided to help her. I started teaching her basic English for 3 weeks every evening.
It worked for her. And the curriculum started exciting her. She started getting involved in Music as well as part of extra curriculars. And eventually she passed with 82% in her 8th standard.
This incident came as a wonderful experience for me as I could somewhere contribute in getting a girl closer to her dreams with the help of ABG.
